When hope is not pinned wriggling onto a shiny image or expectation, it sometimes floats forth and opens.” ~ Anne Lamott
Just waiting for the sunny days of summer to get here and patiently dealing with the "June Gloom," that continues to tease us with cloudy skies along the coastal areas. Still, the warmer days suggest summer is almost here and soon there will be many more opportunities to walk along the shore, tempted by glittery sand, shells, sparkly seaglass, and other shiny treasures at the water's edge.
But just like the cocktail hour, it's always beach weather somewhere- and it's always summer on the inside, right?

ReplyDeleteI've been quite frustrated with the weather, its mid June and has only been warm enough to take Myles swimming twice. I'm impatient, I need to take him swimming so he can wear himself out. LOL I love your mermaid and all her shiny baubles. The colors are wonderful. Bigsby may be flying over at any moment to add of few to his collection.;)
ReplyDeleteLovely! So sweet and the colors are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely mermaid with all her sparklies! I really like this. It's so happy and colorful :)
ReplyDeleteA perfect combination of imagery and words! It has been too cool here in NJ to even take a dip in our nearby lake. We've had beautiful sunny days, just not nearly warm enough to raise the water temperature. Nothing to really complain about, though.
