Spent, Illustration Friday

Obviously, I've used up the week seeing to other tasks before submitting my post to Illustration Friday. That's what happens when the week that welcomes the first days of November turn out to be as gorgeous as anybody could've asked for here in southern California. Warm days, cool nights, low tides that invite a mid day stroll along the shore...It's like spring fever all over again. Never mind that the holidays, blogging and other pressing matters are pending.

Looking out the window on one of these crisp mornings just before dawn, I observed the moon hanging low, nestled in the acacias. Still bright, it appeared to be tiptoeing in, having spent a crazy night chasing stars across the autumn sky.

Hope you've all survived the Halloween candy surge and hope to see how you've "spent" the rest of your week!

  2. Your landscape is so different from the Pacific Northwest and it is nice to see the differences. Here in British Columbia Canada the leaves have turned to gold and red and people are raking up the fallen ones and stuffing them into bags for pick up. So that's how many have spent their time this week. We still have the same moon though and if there is no overcast clouds or fog we can see it.

  5. I love your moon Michele, can I see a face there or is that a trick of my mind? I am glad you are enjoying some lovely weather. Here is the UK it's not been too bad but yesterday's wind blew lots of the lovely coloured leaves off the trees so the winter landscape is looming.
It's Guy Fawkes night tonight so it's a fireworks weekend for everyone here to celebrate.
    Take care, Jane x
